LAST DAY OF THE WEEK BUMP!
Hope you guys can make it. I'll have AO84 on hand if anyone needs a new 928 for their collection you can take a look at it. Asking $8250, but will work with some of my friends here...the car is REALLY running well right now. A/C will freeze you out and it feels great... Maybe I'll get a real paying job before someone steps up with cash and I'll just get to keep it...I'd prefer that.
I'll also have 928 EVOLUTION DVD's and the New 928 and Porsche Full line Calendars for you guys as well... I picked up the DVD's today and will pick up the calendars tomorrow.
Hope to see many of you Austin/SA/D-FW/H'town 928 guys Saturday...the weather should be PERFECT Shark driving weather!

We are two weeks and two days away.
We are going to to a little drive from Bone Daddy's out to Taylor for some REAL BBQ this time. Also good talk about the 3rd Coast rally the weekend before I am sure.
If you guys have not been to 3rd Coast out in Marble Falls this would be a VERY, VERY good year to go! 10th anniversary of the event and it sounds like there are going to be a BUNCH of cars there!
Save the next weekend for your local 928 buddies if you can and we will go for a drive out to Taylor and then around Granger Lake if anyone is interested in the roads I drive when I just want to go drive...

Anyone interested is welcome to join us this coming Saturday for our 2nd Saturday gathering. Right now we are planning a little drive from Bone Daddy's down on Hwy 183 at Duval out to Taylor for some REAL Texas BBQ! We are going to drive away from BD's at 10:30 so be there early! Conversely you can meet us in Taylor, TX at Louie Mueller's BBQ at 11:45 (I hope we arrive closer to 11:30, but 11:45 at the latest).

Are you guys having your GTG on the 8th? Since the DFW first Saturday is slated for New Years Day, it will probably get screwed up. I talked to Roger and we were thinking that it might be a great day for a road trip to Austin (especially since you guys do lunch). The north side of the Austin-plex would be great.

Yea, John, we are on here for Jan 8th at Bone Daddy's up on the north side on Hwy 183 and Duval Rd. We could change it over to Round Rock for you guys if you are having a good crew come down. Maybe Twin Peaks in Round Rock. I doubt our S. Austin gang would mind to much coming to RR if a bunch of the D/FW gang were making the LONG trip from up north.
FOR SURE we will be on the north side somewhere though and for sure Jan 8th at lunch.
Can't wait to see you guys! Been a long time since ya'll have come down for a 2nd Sat, but we are just as bad as I have not been up to see you guys in quite some time either!

Hop on a plane and get on down here where the weather is still nice! Though it was a touch chilly today (we only got up to the high 50's! LOL!) and we did have a few sprinkles...oh well! I suffered through a 10 mile handcycle ride anyway!

VERY special 2nd Saturday coming up January 8th! The D/FW crew is coming down to see us! We have not had them down in a LONG TIME, so that will be very special. If we are lucky Tony will have his VERY CUSTOM and newly painted GTS here from Rockport and I suspect we will have a few Houston folks join us too.
Now, because the D/FW crew is coming down we are going to meet at a different location that will be easier for them to get to.
We will meet at Twin Peaks in Round Rock which is at the corner of I-35 and Toll 45 (the NE corner of that intersection). We will meet at lunch time. I should be there about 11AM. Hope to see you all in two weeks!

We are going to meet further north (I know for those of you in South Austin this seems like SUCH a CHORE...but remember we have guys driving 3+ HOURS to see YOU...so get off you butts and get up here to Round Rock...it won't kill you and we won't even ask to see your passports as you cross the river!

We had an AWESOME EVENT this weekend! The weather held out VERY NICELY for us...just a beautiful day! These shots were taken by my friend Carl. He has been using my '81 for about 3 YEARS NOW! At least he keeps it in the garage and he is going to take care of some issues with the leather dash that have cropped up while he has been borrowing the car, so that is nice... we will see if they get handled properly and well, I think they will.
Anyway, my friend that helped with the EURO85 wheel wells drove the '84 S and I drove EURO85, so it was nice to have a few of my collection on hand. There were about 25 928's at the event and they brought about 35 people with them! LOL! It was BY FAR the biggest ASS gathering we have had! We had 12 cars and 15 folks come down from D/FW to join us and 2 folks come up from SA to join us! VERY NICE!

It is time again for our monthly ASS (Austin Shark Society) gathering!
We are going to meet for lunch in South Austin this month!
It is just over a week away on Feb. 12th and we will start to gather around 11AM at Matt's El Rancho. This is an Austin original Tex-Mex place with great history and heritage. Thanks to Tom and the South Austin gang for pointing out this location. I have been there once before for a Porsche Club of America lunch when we had Bill Dollohite come and speak to us about his then under construction racing facility here in Austin (The Driveway Austin as it is called). I think it will prove to be an enjoyable location for us to gather (if the weather will hold out for us!)

For the folks coming from the north down Mopac, you could take the Barton Springs/Zilker Park exit, head east on Barton Springs to Lamar, right on Lamar approx 2mi to Matt's on the left. It's a pretty big place, so it's easy to see.

Great ASS gathering today! About 23 folks came out to enjoy. Many came in something other than their 928's, but still a great time with some great folks! We actually had 2 951's and a Cayenne join us today! Pretty cool...oh and a Boxster S as well.

It is that time of the month again folks! 2nd Saturday will be upon us quickly!
This time we are going to Bikini's for lunch! It is on I-35 between St. Johns and 290 East!
I'll be there around 11:30 or so. The owner is a Porsche fan and is looking forward to hosting us and providing some appetizers for free as well! Very nice of him!

Sorry to tell everyone, but Bikini's can't handle us that day... We will have to go back to our back up location of Bone Daddy's! Bikini's is a host for two particular football team parties and when they play at noon on 2nd Saturdays they can't handle us. I am not sure how often this will happen over the next few months, but we might start looking for another location right down close to them as that is a good area it seems for most to get to...
SO, the Sept 2nd Sat GTG will be at BONE DADDY'S!

Come join us for lunch this Saturday at Bone Daddy's in Austin, TX! It is on Hwy 183 at Duval. It is across 183 from Outback! I'll be there around 11:15 and we will go inside to each around noon...if we can stand to be out in the heat for that long anyway!

Hey everybody it is that time of the month again! It is time for the 2nd Saturday ASS GTG! Yes, the Austin Shark Society will be meeting THIS COMING SATURDAY at the Hooters in Round Rock (by request).
Some come on out to La Frontera for lunch and to visit with all your shark buddies! Get there early as parking is at a premium at this location. I should be there by 11:30.
I hope to be in my '95 GTS... It should be all done (well, still needs Paul Champagne's touch inside on a great many parts as well as a beautiful Pearl Lime Green wrap, but I digress) with its Hans Sharkwoofer and door speakers as well as an X-pipe, high flow cats and Constantine RMB!!! YEE HA!!!

Here is a shot of the 5 928's at today's GTG. We also had a 944S2 there and a couple of non-928 driving members joined us as well.
Great little GTG actually! Here is the one shot of the cars that I have seen. I drove my '95 today, there was a '94, '79, '88 and my buddy with my '84 brought it as well.
