Deutsche Marque Concours visit was created by mm928
Hey,
This weekend my son-in-law and I went to the Deutsche Marque Concours in Vienna Va. Basically a car show for Porsche, Mercedes and BMW (what no Audi?....no). This has been happening for 30 years apparently. Guests are free and if you want to enter it is only 30.00. It was a beautiful day, and a lot of fun to see many different iconic models of German engineering. Including a 1 cylinder Diesel Porsche tractor, completely and perfectly restored.
We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone near enough to come next year. We likely will. There were only 2 928's there, which I though was a little odd. Fraggle and a 93 GTS. So I might have won something since theirs were 32v! HA
Oh yes and the capper for me was seeing a brand new 2013 Cayman with new car tags. That thing is supremely wicked now.... oh my goodness.
So there you go.....

Yes no Audi,,,traditionally an event organized by the Local Merc, Bimmer and Potomac PCA.....maybe there is no Audi group? Not sure
My car has it's engine out doing some of those things that are better done that way. Top end rebuild, little Cam tower leaks, and new Bilsteins,,,you know a spring refresh... HA
Hope to have the engine back in this week according to my mech with hopeful return home this weekend. I want a couple of weeks to drive it before SITM.
Yes this Cayman is deadly.....more like a Croc than a Cayman...
