What went on the past 2-3 months with your Shark? Breakdowns, upgrades, good vacations etc.....
For me it usually starts with SITM as far as fun goes. This year it started with an engine pull first!
1 - Engine pull and general and top end refresh, motor mounts etc., nothing internal. Very pleased with it, runs better and shift points are awesome!
2 - New Bilsteins and S4 springs. They feel great, but will find out how much during Frenzy next month! Thanks Kevin!
3 - Driver's door motor ist kaput! Replacement on the way
4 - While I am waiting for the motor, I am going to try and get the replacement lower door seal on. Wish my fingers good luck.
UPDATE! - new motor is in!, but now it will only go up... ! shhheessshh ( I think I messd up a connector putting the new window switch in)
Lower door seal is in! - believe it or not, I had a much harder time getting the window motor out and in than I did doing the seal. If you follow the You tube post from Roger on the seal install it works! Looks great afterwards. If you do it this way you can leave the glass in, but you need to remove the door panel and inside rubber seal. Then your fingers will fit into the gap. Put tape on your fingers....trust me.
Then in Oct. it is the Porsche Corral at the VIR ALMS race....
Pretty busy car-wise. I will be ready to enjoy it this fall with some great driving weather.
How about your summer?

Summer #2 that she is still not roadworthy.....bought her in May of 2012 with goal to drive by summers end....in June mothballed her with a decision to build a new home and move into a tiny rental shack (did get a great workshop out of the deal tho')...moved into new place in january 2013, march of 2013, had falling out with partners and lost my company...(long, bitter story)... Went through a phase of depression, found a new, pretty good job, but took a fat pay-cut, which has killed my resto budget. started to bounce back....got her running, took her to SITM on a trailer...met old friends, and made some new...got re-motivated, and now have a good jump on getting her on the road....still a long way but headed in the right direction....I truly feel that this car and the 928 community gas gotten me through a dark period in my life...
A lot of people say I am saving this car...she is actually saving me !

6 weeks to snow and blowing cold soon to follow that. I efin hate it now at this age.
I have done very little to my car and actually other then the Oil pump gear and belt shredding scare and repair, I just put new rear tires on it this year.
Just wait I did fix the sunroof and buffed the roof but there is so much that I should do to get it running better.
It seems I just drive it on nice days, the evening is my Fav time.
it seems my life is not heading the direction i thought it would and that the free time I planed to have is always filled with running the wife around or helping bail the kids out of what ever mess they get them selves into.
Still planning to quit work in a year and a half and move south

The 928 doesn't know what to think about its new American neighbor.
Other than that, the car is running good. I should shut up now; Tomorrow two pistons will fall out of the bottom of the engine if I don't~

A simple description might be:
Get a strip of mild steel with a width that matches the indentations in the plastic tank where the broken tabs were. Cut pieces long enough to bend into a "C" shape that fits tightly onto the tank side, and over the edge of the end plate on the radiator core. After all of the replacement clamps are in place, use JB Weld or similar high-quality epoxy to cover the clamps to prevent them from slipping off.
So far, so good...
