I just had timing belt and water pump replaced at 61,000. miles by a Porsche 928 specialist who has done work on my car for several years and who I trust - but we never finalized the price and although he did the work a few months ago, he has not sent me the bill yet. Any ideas as to what this should cost?
Also, a completely separate question --- when I purchased my car new it had been left outside in the dealers lot - supposedly in the sun, which caused some warping of the interior quarter panels just under the side rear windows. The dealer offered to have Porsche replace them for free, but I stupidly thought they would mess up the interior (which was otherwise perfect) in doing the replacement work - so I said NO, it was OK as is. Now years later, I am upset that I did not accept the service manager's offer. At the time, in 1990, dealers were having trouble selling 928s, and I was able to buy my car for a very discounted price. Anyway, the warping has magnified over time, exposing the top edge of the leather (or vinyl - not sure) and it looks like the material has shrinked.
Has anyone had this problem and if so, any thoughts on a "fix"?
