An Aussie “mate” of mine knows my Porsche 928 enthusiasm and forwarded a link this Aussie activity.
Wow, this is an amazing project and has reached a point of success … the EV system works. Certainly, a ground up creation isn’t realistic, so Mark and Stu took a 2020 MG AZ EV Donor car.
A bit of info on the donor car. While most people remember MG as a British brand with a history of churning out cheerful small sports cars, the automaker has been under the ownership of the Chinese since 2005, and it's having a rebirth.

Perhaps the fact that the MG EV system was installed in an ICE chassis made it a good choice for transplant into another ICE. I’ve only watched a few of the 35 episodes. Starting at the end gives you a good idea.
I’ve provided links to some of the key episodes.I have a feeling that in the future this may be the way old cars can live longer into the future.Happy new year!
Rich PS: Australia no longer has a native automotive sector. Early on Ford and GM had divisions that produced specific cars for that market as well as importing US models converted to right hand drive. Global competition has killed that so today over 20% of AU automotive the market, largely EVs, are imported from China. If someone in the US wished to make such a conversion, they’d have to import the MG AZ EV bits sans the body or find a different EV system donor.
