Hi, I have an 89' auto. The dashboard illumination is fine during the day (i.e. when I don't turn on the headlights.) But when I turn on the headlights, the illumination goes off. Any idea or suggestions ? Thank you very much.
The dimmer switch probably has some corrosion built up on it. I had the same issue on my 89 when I resurrected it. Pulled the switch out and cleaned it up and it fixed it. Some people just bypass the switch all together.
