Sorry for being bitchy, but this is the only forum where these things seem to occur. I am perplexed.

You can be a mechanic or technician...The choice is in HOW you fix it, not THAT you fix it.

Also, we'll have to contact the authors of the posts where there are legitimately broken (offsite) links and ask them to update them or better yet send us the content and we'll host it. They would have been broken before the forum migration, but to maintain the integrity of the OC info we need to do this.

I attempted to register a car. After filling in the first form and submitting, I was not able to amend the entry by adding additional information about the car as I received an error that an item with that name already exists. I assume that the initial submission was pending approval, and only when approved, would there be an option to edit it. However, the UI is confusing as following the first submission, the same page with additional tabs fro more information is shown, suggesting additions can be made. I assume that a submission should only be made after all desired data has been entered on all of the tabs.

You should be able to go back and edit your Registry entry anytime and change everything but the title. The edit feature is a little obscure, but when you find your entry (browse, search) and hover over it you'll notice that unlike the entry above it, there's an additional little - kind of star - on the right side of the popup array of buttons.. Click that and there's a dropdown menu that opens up and gives you the option to edit your entry. The required fields are identified with a menu and with a star next to the fields. The rest are optional.
Try that, and if you have add'l problems let us know.
Since the Registry module is built from a canned Component, we probably can't change the way the edit feature displays, but we will ask the developer of the component if it is possible. And we can work on providing more info about how to access it. I'll add that to the bug list above.

You should have access to edit your entries in the Registry now. Let us know if you're still having problems.

It seems that the last posts in the member profiles are at least two months old, so the last two months of activity do not seem not have migrated.
Hi: Any ETA to fix this issue please? I have not been posting to my car profiles as I assume that any new posts might get over-written when the last two months are added.

I do not expect new posts will be overwritten, and I am sure that Derrick will run a site backup and test it before he implements the fix so if something does happen the backup can be restored immediately.
Thanks for hanging in there!

What's going on with that and has anyone else noticed this?

Please see the first post of this thread, where we're tracking the bugs. Two that you've mentioned are listed there, but this is the first that we've heard that parts of existing posts are missing. We know the images are missing, but were pretty sure that the text (except for the last 203 posts) were intact. If you can point us to one we can investigate.

Bill,
Here's one example. There are more.

I'm sure I had some wording such as "After" etc. and pictures (I realize that's a bug) after the "Before"

With the re-migration of the Forum, your text and photos on that post have been restored. Let me know if you find anything else.
Cheers,
