congrtas on getting the 928...first thing would be to check and drain the gas tank as any gas in there is bad. next replace the fuel pump and fuel filter (under cover in back under fuel tank). Also have to make sure all fuel lines are clear/clean.
all fluids need to be changed prior to trying to start, especially engine oil.
Some people pull the plugs and squirt Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder and try to hand crank the motor to see if it turns, if it does, you can get a new battery, with new fuel, oil all set, and give it a crank. you can also check if power is getting from the battery to the front by checking voltage at the jump post front passenger side. if it isnt getting min 12V you will need to get to all ground points and clean the ground points as this will help with all kinds of fixes for electrical issues in the car.
Also you can google "starting a car that has sat for years" and get an idea what others have seen on trying to start a car that has sat for a period of time.

Bob , thank you so much for the welcome and advice. I definitely don’t want to go into this thing blind so I will probably become a member shortly. I know people will not believe me but I was given this car! and I’m thinking that it’s been sitting , it can sit a little longer , do it right and not break really expensive part. Never in my dreams did I think I would own a Porsche! Now if I could find a barn find 911!!! have a good day!
