Hi Guys

I just wanted to know if there is an actual formula on how rare your car is. I hear people say that its 1 of 20 etc...or in my case 600 of 2000 lol

I did put my vin in the decoder in but it doesn't really say the numbers of overall etc....

Hello Eddie,

928 Specialists has a nice summary on their website www.928gt.com in the 928 Tips/Links section + Tech/Specs + Production Info page that displas a chart that lists the worldwide sales and US sales by year.

The total worldwide production of the Porsche 928 is listed at 57,998 and US sales as 25,105. The highest worldwide sales was 5095 in 1984 and highest US sales of 2780 in 1986.

My 1993 GTS is one of 730 sold in the world and one of 120 sold in the USA.

So, your Porsche 928 is pretty rate.

Thank you Rich928, for your reply. Those numbers in my last post are just examples I hear people say that about their car. LOL not mine at least I don't think. So my information below is from the VIN decoder. I guess, I'm asking is overall with the information below how rare would mine be?
